We sat down with TSPA Educator Kelly Jo, who was recently named a Best Trendsetting Hair Color Finalist at the prestigious Redken Symposium. This recognition celebrates top talent in the industry, and we couldn’t be more proud to see her representing our academy on such a big stage.
💬 What made you enter Redken Symposium?
“I entered Symposium partly because Julie (owner) pushed me to submit an entry, but I felt that if I were to do so it might inspire my students to do it as well!”
Kelly Jo’s response perfectly reflects what we stand for at TSPA, leading by example and inspiring the next generation of beauty professionals to dream bigger.
💬 What would you tell students about entering competitions and stepping out of their comfort zone?
“I would/will tell them to take a chance, you will never know what the outcome will be if you don’t try!”
Growth doesn’t happen in the comfort zone, and Kelly Jo continues to encourage students to push boundaries, take risks, and believe in their potential.
💬 How do you feel about being a finalist?
“I am completely shocked that I was chosen. But I am also thrilled and excited!!”
