TSPA Maplewood’s Sara Seufzer Named 2024 Educator of the Year at SPEC Conference May 1, 2025

We are beyond proud to share that Sara Seufzer, one of our incredible educators at The Salon Professional Academy – Maplewood, was honored with the 2024 Educator of the Year award at the annual SPEC Conference!

Her dedication, adaptability, and infectious enthusiasm inspire both students and colleagues every day. With dual expertise in cosmetology and esthetics, Sara brings excellence to everything she does—always going above and beyond for her students. She uses innovative teaching tools to make learning engaging, impactful, and effective.

When schedules need to shift last-minute or operational challenges arise, Sara steps in with grace, leadership, and a calm confidence. She supports students not just academically, but personally—meeting each individual where they are and lifting them up with compassion and care.

Outside the classroom, Sara plays a key role in strengthening our academy community. She helps lead initiatives like the annual Salvation Army food drive, coordinates joyful student celebrations, and brings our team together with spirit days, graduations, and (her favorite) potluck gatherings.

Sara’s impact doesn’t stop with people—it shows in the numbers, too. Her team achieved 94% to goal with their average ticket and consistently hit their performance targets, a direct reflection of her mentorship and leadership.
