Why This Exercise Matters
One of the greatest challenges students face after earning their license is the ability to gain and retain clients. These are crucial skills for building a successful career, and the Dermalogica Student Prescription Exercise is designed to help students master three key soft skills:
- Prescriptive Techniques
Students learn to identify client needs and recommend the most suitable products. This exercise focuses on teaching students how to provide customized skincare solutions and educate clients about continuing their care at home between appointments. - Communication Skills
Through repeated practice, students become confident in discussing skincare needs and solutions with clients, setting the stage for strong client relationships. - Social Media Self-Promotion
Students explore strategies for building their personal brand and attracting clients through social media platforms. This is a vital skill for modern estheticians in today’s digital-first world.
Exercise Details
The Dermalogica Student Prescription Exercise will run from March 3, 2025, to March 28, 2025. Here’s what’s in store:
- Tracking System: Dermalogica provides a unique tracking system to monitor each student’s progress, offering benchmarks to measure success.
- Product Gifts: For each benchmark achieved, students receive Dermalogica product gifts as recognition of their efforts. These gifts have a total retail value of $238.00.
- Focus Product: The spotlight is on Multivitamin Thermafoliant, an innovative exfoliant designed to smooth and refine skin while boosting radiance. It’s an excellent product to showcase to clients, and students will learn how to effectively prescribe and discuss its benefits.
