At The Salon Professional Academy in Maplewood, we believe in going all in—and when it comes to social media, we didn’t just show up… we showed out.
At this year’s SPEC Franchise Conference, our academy was honored with the 2024 Social Media Best Practices Award, and the announcement, delivered by the incredible Kirsten Stroud, said it best:
“Now let me tell you, this winner didn’t just dabble in beauty school social media last year. They basically moved in, redecorated the place, and threw a house party with over 1,800 posts. Out of those, 543 were video posts, and their TikTok alone featured 154 new videos—practically making them the Kardashians of beauty schools!”
We didn’t stop at just meeting minimum requirements—we looked those requirements in the eye and said: “Hold my ring light.”
But here’s the truth: It wasn’t just about numbers. The heart behind our content is what truly set us apart. We focused on creating authentic, high-energy posts that:
We were also thrilled to host Redken Global Artist Chris Baran for an unforgettable educational experience—of course, captured and shared across our platforms!
With over 60 blog posts published in a year and consistent, creative, and compelling content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and more, our team has turned content creation into a true craft.
And yes… we do sleep. Occasionally.
We are beyond proud of our students, team, and leadership who contributed to this social media success. This award is a celebration of all the voices, visions, and hard work behind every post.
So, what’s next?
We’re just getting started.
Follow us. Watch us. Be inspired
